A Parked Dream Became “She’s Royal”

Since 2009, Crystal Daye has been organizing workshops in the Kencot community to motivate young ladies to find their worth and be more confident. As a Christian, an unplanned pregnancy in 2011 brought her feelings of inadequacies of being a role model in the eyes of young females and that of her peers. This circumstance faced by Crystal halted the dream of motivating young ladies to live a life of worth in Christ. The “dream” went on pause.

The “dream” not to be denied…. In April 2014 at the Kencot Christian Fellowship Ladies Retreat entitled ‘Pursuit of Purpose’, Crystal reconnected to her “dream” of empowering females to live a life of worth no matter what! When this desire was expressed to the beautiful women on this retreat, Lola Chin -Sang came up with the awesome name of “SHE’S ROYAL”.

With the help of Mrs. Keisha Dougan (co-founder), She’s Royal was launched at the Kencot Christian Fellowship Church (6 Parry Road, Kingston 10) on June 28, 2014.

Birthing She’s Royal into high gear, an eight (8) weeks Summer Workshop was held. The goal of the workshop was to help young women become more graceful, help build their self-esteem and learn how to be confident in Christ. After the workshop, an On-going Mentorship programme was launched, which aimed to motivate young females to bring out the treasure God placed within them and to live a victorious life of purpose and promise.

Over 25 females, between ages 12 and 40, have benefited tremendously from the 2014 Summer workshops which resulted in a Graduation that signaled another level of acquired social skills, graces and more for these ladies.

She's Royal Movement is a faith-based organization that inspires women of all ages to become true purpose-driven ladies who are confident and know their worth.

Mission:

She's Royal operates on the promise of God made in Psalm 139:14a - "I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made......” and aims to bring awareness to women about their values, worth, and purpose which are found only in Christ.

Objectives:

She’s Royal aims to: Empower ♥ Encourage ♥Equip

- Empower ladies who lack confidence or struggle with low self-esteem to confront their insecurities, weaknesses and limitations
- Encourage women to live a purpose-driven life which allows them to focus on their God-given gifts and use them for His glory
- Equip females with tools & resources to maximize their God-given potential and to live God’s promise of a ‘royal’ life.

Vision:

To empower females to be confident, focused, purpose-driven and secure in who God has called them to be.
